Top: Robin Williams stars as Adrian Cronauer, an irreverent radio disc-jockey who is shipped to Saigon on the eve of the Vietnam war to boost morale among the troops. His show, a manic mixture of outrageous humor and rock 'n' roll, becomes a favorite with the troops but a problem for his superiors (below) General Taylor (Noble Willingham, left), Lt. Hauk (Bruno Kirby, center) and sergeant Major Dickerson (J.T. Walsh, right), all of whom are unamused by the rowdy radio personality's on-air antics. A Touchstone Pictures presentation in association with Silver Screen Partners III, "Good Morning, Vietnam" is directed by Barry Levinson and produced by Mark Johnson and Larry Brezner from an original screenplay written by Mitch Markowitz.
