Allison Durbin ORIG OZ A-Label Promo 45 Don't be cruel EX 72 HMV EA10089 Pop Original OZ A-Label promo 45" released in 1972 on HMV Records. Cat: EA-10089. Born in 1950 in Auckland, New Zealand, she started recording for Zodiac at age 13. Five years later she had a massive crossover hit in NZ with I Have Loved Me A Man which sold 85,000 copies in a country where 5,000 is gold. Moving to Australia at the end of the 60s she was named "Queen of Pop" in 1969, 70 & 71. In the mid-70s she became one of the biggest country stars in Australia, although was largely forgotten in NZ. Features are rather funky/soul fused B-side track. Tracks : Don't be cruel/ It's your thing. There are a few light marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks and is in Excellent condition. Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear. Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.
