Description
This is an early 19th century Baume and Co. (later to become Baume & Mercier) 9kt solid gold pocket watch. It is definitely complete working well and keeping time and solid nine karat gold. It has Baume and Swiss Made on the watch face and stamped in the case is B.&Cie with 3 stars along with 9C and the number 10. On the back outer cover is again B.&Cie with 3 stars 9C and 199610. On the inner dust shield is CUIVRE above 199610 with a horizontal 3 below it. The movement has the name Baume Swiss 3 dots and FAST and SLOW etched. The watch weighs 32.486 grams in its entirety. Tests positive for above 9 carat gold including the rings on its crown. It’s in great shape aside from one scratch on the face of the watch and light wear on the case as to be expected of a watch well over 100 years old. It’s crown winding so needs no key. The lousy pictures that my iPhone 15 pro max takes really don’t do it any justice! It is beautiful and the engravings on the outer case are so intricate and detailed! There is no monogram on it. Hate to part with it but am being forced to sell a lot of my treasures so take the opportunity to add it to your collection! Being solid gold and an early Baume & Mercier makes it a wise investment that will only appreciate in value! Although I won’t let it go for cheap feel free to make an offer!
