The Gem of the Season: A Souvenir for 1853 Elegantly Illustrated New York: Leavitt & Allen 1853 First Edition Large octavo, 228 pages, publisher's original embossed blue cloth covered boards with elaborate gilt-lettering and decoration. All edges gilt. Illustrated throughout with black-and-white plates, also with two color chromolithographs. Now in a protective clear mylar jacket. Minimal rubbing and wear, scattered foxing and discoloration, else in very good + condition.
