This is an absolutely stunning One Of A Kind piece of original artwork. A highly detailed grizzly bear, in bronze, walking with a green onyx sphere cradled within its back. The bronze element of this sculpture has a beautiful mix of patinas; from shiny outer surfaces with dark oxidized bronze recesses, to rich red streaks with iridescent hints, to the classic green verdigris only time can deliver. The green onyx sphere is mesmerizing with its various tones, streaks and swirls. There is one small chip on the onyx, unfortunately, where it must have been dropped on a hard surface at some point in time. Fortunately, a significant portion of the stone is hidden when the sculpture is assembled and it's easy to keep that chip out of sight. I have been told the piece was first acquired in the USSR, now the Russian Federation, although I have no documentation. The dramatic flare and appearance of this piece is certainly resonant with the Russian culture, though, and I have little doubt the information is true. Overall dimensions: approximately 5"T x 6"L x 3.5"W, weight is a shade under 4 pounds. This item will be shipped, fully insured, within 1 business day of payment. Wow! I am nearly speechless after receiving this. Pictures did not do it justice! Seller worked with me on reaching a price that we both could live with. He took great care to triple wrap it in bubble wrap and a sturdy box. I would definitely buy from this superb seller again.

This artifact of bus history, arrived, perfectly, was packaged very well, and shipped quickly. it was also exactly as pictured and described in the Auction. For me, this is a great value to add to my collection.
